about
I'm Pratik Singh — an independent product designer based in Ahmedabad, India. I work with AI and B2B SaaS startups on product design that has to survive contact with real users: onboarding, dense workflow screens, dashboards, design systems and the marketing site that sells them.
What I do
Over the last four years I've collaborated with 50+ companies, including 40+ startups, either as an embedded designer inside a small product team or as the sole designer taking a product from an early idea to something people can use. Most engagements cover the whole arc rather than a slice of it.
- Product design, 0→1 and full redesigns — discovery, information architecture, flows, high-fidelity UI, prototypes and handoff.
- Design systems — reusable components, light and dark themes, and the documentation that keeps a small team consistent.
- Web and landing pages — the marketing surface that has to match the product it is selling.
- Prototyping and user testing — enough to settle an argument with evidence rather than taste.
- Brand, pitch decks and launch assets, when the product needs to feel coherent everywhere it shows up.
How I work
I work directly with founders and engineers, usually asynchronously, with a short weekly call. I prefer to start from the constraint — the workflow that is actually hard, the screen that keeps getting rebuilt — rather than from a moodboard. Work ships in Figma, with real copy, real data shapes and real empty states, because those are the parts that break in production.
Recent work includes redesigning a 200+ screen AI interview platform for recruiters and engineers, designing advisor and client workflows for a financial management platform, and a long-running collaboration on an AI sales assistant covering product, website, brand and investor materials. Those are written up in full in the case studies.
Background
I started as a contract designer at Rinventix Technologies in 2022, went freelance in 2023, led product design at Blissful-Design Studio, then founded Baseframe in 2024 — the design studio I still run, working across 40+ startups and raising 100k in revenue for clients.
Outside client work I host ai&weekends in Ahmedabad: a Sunday co-build where around twenty founders, developers and AI builders spend five hours making something and demo it at the end.
What's next
After four years across many startups I'm looking to go all-in on one product as a founding or product designer, alongside a team that cares about the craft. I still take on a small number of independent engagements. If you're building something ambitious, the contact page has every way to reach me.
