# Privacy — maybepratik.com

> What maybepratik.com collects, which third parties process it, and how to opt out.

This is a personal portfolio site. It has no accounts, no login, no shopping cart and no contact form. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, because there is nowhere on the site to type. What follows is everything the site does collect.

## Analytics

Two analytics tools run on this site so I can see which work people actually read:

- Google Analytics 4 — page views and clicks on links and buttons, including the link text and destination. Google sets its own cookies and may process this data outside India. See Google's privacy policy for details.
- Databuddy — page views, sessions, time on page, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript errors, interactions and outgoing link clicks. Databuddy is a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics provider.

Neither tool is used to build an advertising profile, and I don't sell or share this data. Browser-level tracking protection, an ad blocker, or a Global Privacy Control signal will stop most or all of it. I only ever look at the aggregate numbers.

## Hosting and embedded services

- Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a limited period.
- Sanity is the CMS behind some of the imagery; content is fetched server-side, so your browser doesn't talk to it directly.
- Cal.com is embedded on the booking page. If you open that page, Cal.com receives the request and applies its own privacy policy. If you book a time, you give Cal.com your name and email so the invite can be sent.
- Google Fonts are self-hosted through Next.js at build time, so no font request leaves your browser to Google.

## Stored on your device

The site saves your light or dark theme preference in your browser's local storage under the key 'theme'. It never leaves your device and clearing site data removes it. The site itself sets no cookies; any cookies present come from Google Analytics or an embedded service.

## Email

If you email me, I keep the thread in my mailbox for as long as it is useful — that's how email works. I don't add anyone to a mailing list and there is no newsletter. Ask me to delete a thread and I will.

## Your rights and contact

You can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to the analytics described above. Email hi@maybepratik.com and I'll handle it myself — there's no team to route it through. This page is updated whenever the tools on the site change.
